I am passionate life long martial artist with over 30 years teaching, training and competing in the combat sports.  I am the Founder and Head Instructor of The Academy for Body Efficient Tactical Arts, BETA Academy, in Washington DC.  Established in 2008, we are the largest and longest running martial arts school in the District of Columbia specializing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for adults and children.

In addition to being a studio owner, I have experience opening and running multiple businesses across many industries including Tax, Accounting,  Financial Consulting Services, Government Contracting, Automotive Electronics, Internet Connectivity, and Software Development.  I am a graduate of the School of Business at George Mason University, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in the State of Virginia, and hold a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).  

My experience and accomplishments in the professional world have helped me to meet and overcome the immense obstacles of running a martial arts and fitness academy in this challenging business environment and I am excited to share the lessons learned with this community.
